San Juan National Forest
Southwest Colorado contains some of the most pristine vistas in all the state. The rugged San Juans drape every scene with its jagged and jaw dropping beauty. The wetter climate paves way for beautiful spring flowers and an abundance of fall foliage. Being off the beaten path from the front range, it still contains the elements of Colorado I grew up to love. Farm lands expand as far as the eye can see and remnants of its western and mining heritage remain intact. It's here I can still listen in silence and hear all that this magnificent landscape has to tell.
