I've learned there is no 'peak' foliage time. Fall is a season of transition. It progresses slowly and yet rapidly, predictably and yet unknowingly. As a photographer I have no control over it. I'm simply there to capture what's in front of me at the moment I am there. I fell in love with these aspens because they didn't resemble the 'peak' fall scene. They weren't all yellow or all orange. It was rather a blend that told the story of the transition of seasons
